Never Smokers Lung Cancer Trial on TV

October 1, 2009

William Pao, M.D., Ph.D.,  Assistant Director for Personalized Cancer Medicine at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, has launched a clinical trial for lung cancer patients who did not smoke cigarettes.  He has turned to the Web to find patients who are willing to send blood samples for genetic analysis. The DNA analysis is designed to determine why these individuals get lung cancer and to develop potential targets for early detection and treatment. WSMV Channel 4 in Nashville has more on this trial.
