Celebrate Survivors’ Day on June 18

Join Us June 18 for this year's Cancer Survivorship Conference and Celebration

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center cordially invites you and your guests to join us for this year’s Survivors’ Day Conference, “Cancer GPS: Navigating Your Journey” on Saturday, June 18, 2011. The event will be held at Vanderbilt University Student Life Center from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Linda Armstrong Kelly, the mother of Lance Armstrong, will be the keynote speaker. During your lunch break, you will want to be sure to get Linda Armstrong Kelly to sign your copy of her book, No Mountain High Enough. Two breakout sessions will be held during the day. The first breakout session focuses on cancer education with topics specific to survivors of different ages. The second breakout session concentrates on establishing a life of wellness. You will be able to choose from three different wellness session topics. The Survivors’ Day Conference will end with a celebration with a special performance from Beth Nielsen Chapman, singer, songwriter and survivor.

The conference is sponsored by the Tennessee Cancer Coalition, Gilda’s Club Nashville and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. The Cancer Survivorship Conference and Celebration is a free event for everyone whose life has been affected by cancer, including adult and childhood cancer survivors, family members, friends and medical professionals.
