Pancreatic cancer lecture June 18

Patients and families who want to learn more about treatments and research efforts in pancreatic cancer are invited to attend a free event Thurs., June 18, 6 – 8 p.m., at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, 2555 West End Ave.
The educational seminar, sponsored by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, features a presentation by Jordan Berlin, M.D., Ingram Professor of Cancer Research at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. Berlin is co-leader of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Research Program and Past Chair of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s Medical Advisory Board. He will discuss current treatment options for pancreatic cancer.
Anna L. Means, Ph.D., research associate professor of Surgery and assistant professor of Cell & Developmental Biology at VICC, will discuss the latest research initiatives for this disease.
